Submitted by Ruth Barcia García , restorer and graduate in Fine Arts, collaborator of the Casadobe architecture studio , located in Cangas, (Pontevedra) and directed by the German architect Mike Lemhaus . With an interdisciplinary character, Casadobe responds to projects combining architecture, design, art, sustainability, engineering and economics. We coincided in carrying out the "Urban Rehabilitation and Renewal Classroom" during 2001, a postgraduate specialization in rehabilitation organized by the Santiago de Compostela Consortium and, since then, we have collaborated on several projects. With extensive experience in rehabilitation, Mike Lemhaus is one of the architects who carried out the rehabilitation work on the “concello pelo” building, currently the headquarters of the Rehabilitation Office and Historic City of Santiago de Compostela.
Nature lover, Ruth finds beauty by combining the materials found in each place. What began as a small space in which to meet and through which to share with you news of interest to the profession, has given us the opportunity to establish contact with great people, as well as excellent professionals. Every day we receive queries, comments, suggestions... from many colleagues; professionals in the world of Architecture who, over time, have become friends; in some cases, even without "devirtualizing." We would like to thank all of you who have reached out to request our support but; above all, those of you who, little by little, have been joining the AsesorArq team.
The relationship is two-way, we support each other and, on many occasions, you brighten our day! For this reason, we wanted to have a space where you would have a presence and we could give you visibility as part of AsesorArq. Thus, a few months ago we called on you to send us your “AsesorArq” house: a drawing, a photograph, whatever you suggested… The objective was to add houses to form our small urban space; a small DISTRICT built with all the houses of AsesorArq friends and collaborators. We continue adding the "little houses" that you continue to send week by week and that we will gradually incorporate into our virtual "DISTRICT.
